Paris Fashion Week
Fashion Weeks is coming to and end and Paris has left us with a spectacular finish. I absolutely lurrrrrrrrved it.
A.f. Vandevorst: A mix of tailored and feminine looks. I am not a fan of the stark red lipstick. I had no problem with it when looking at the pictures one by one, but now I see them three in a row? It looks scary.
Ann Demeulemeester: soft drapes, layers. Mainly blacks and whites with a burst of red half-way through.
Balmain: This collection made me swooooooon. SOMEONE, GET ME ONE OF THESE. ANY! I DON’T CARE WHICH! I’LL TAKE ANY!
Celine: More pretty dress. White and grey, and very wearable.
Costume National: Sharp crisp looks. The silver material gave off a very sci-fi feel. Well, to me anyways. LOL.
Junya Watanabe: I cannot.get.enough of those hats. Yeh, I paid more attention to these African-inspired hats than the actual clothes in this one. The clothes were great. The hats however, were AWESOME. I feel sorry for the models though, they look heavy…
Karl Lagerfeld: Blacks and whites, with hints of blue, floral, and metallics.
Valentino: What’s with all the fuss? “Facchinetti, the ex-Gucci designer brought in to re-position the Valentino brand just a year ago, was out.” Well, I had no problem with it, I thought the collection was gorgeous.
Vivienne Westwood: The whole collection was very… crazy, for lack of a better word. I wonder where her inspiration came from. It was all sort of… everywhere, like that second dress. I’m not sure how anyone could possibly wear them on the streets. Nonetheless, I sort of liked the whole quirkiness of it.
And that ends not only Paris Fashion Week but also all Spring RTW09 shows. They've all been spectacular and I can't help but be saddened that it's all come to an end. But not to worry, there are many many more to come!
P.S. If you actually read this site and not just the feed, you'll notice that earmuffed has had a layout change: going pink in October for Breast Cancer, in support of pinkforoctober. I highly encourage you all do the same and participate. Go pink!
