To: The Future Successful Me #8

Where is the knowledge, wisdom and intelligence? WHERE?! Because when I was in Primary School, I thought the big kids in Year 6 were all-knowing, wise and intelligent. I thought they had lives and their futures all figured out, that they were confident in themselves and who they were. But when I reached Year 6, I realised I was none of these things. I was still troubled and confused like before, if not, more.

Then I got into Year 7. Everyone can distinguish the seniors from the juniors, because of the white shirts. The white shirts made them look taller and smarter. And wiser and more intelligent too, I guess. And when I was in Year 7, I thought that they probably had it all figured out. That they were sure about their futures, they understood exactly who they were and where they stood, and what was expected of them. And guess what? Now I'm one of the highly-white-shirted seniors.

And I still do not get it.

Where is the understanding? Every time I think I'm almost there, I realise that it's further than I thought it was. It's like a ridiculous chase after an unobtainable butterfly, or a hunt for the pot at the end of the rainbow.

So I'm turning to you, future me. Have you reached The Understanding yet? Are you any less clueless than I am now? I sure hope you are, because it would completely suck to be this confused for the next 20 years or so.
