Life

I used to have this theory about life- that it was a constant cycle of ups and downs. In fact, I've blogged about it in my old blog [click!], but just a few days ago, I believe I have geniously crafted up a new theory that explains life, that just outshines the other theory.

I think that life is like an endeavour to build a castle of cards. You spend all your time very carefully building it, making sure every part fits with the next, and that everything is balanced. Your card castle expands as you achieve more and more in life, your happiness peaks, you think you're on top of the world- your card castle is huge and you are proud of it.

But then the wind blows; a natural occurence that no one is capable of stopping, and it just brings your whole castle down. You're left with little or nothing, and you really have no one to blame- after all, its the wind, you can't stop it from blowing, just like you can't stop the bad things in life happening. It just happens, and it's totally out of your control, but you can't help but feel that you could've protected your card castle somehow.

Then you start again from scratch, slowly building up your castle of cards, placing each card above the last, until at last- you have a somewhat impressive castle of cards again.

Yupp I think that sums up life.
