Le Fabuleux Vie de Theresa

I'm still fuelling up ideas for major blog entries while I'm flying solo, so bear with me.

For those of you who are familiar with the movie Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, you might have noticed that the entry of this blog post is suspiciously similar to the title of that movie. The title of the movie translates to 'The Fabulous Destiny of Amelie Poulain', swap 'Destiny' for Life' and 'Amelie Poulain' for my name, and VOILA, TITLE OF THIS POST. Get it now? Because I recently watched Amélie and I live a fabulous life, hence the title.

Amélie is a beautiful story, I think I fell in love with the main character. Watching it was like having a fresh wind blown into my face. I felt like I reached some massive epiphany after watching it. Now I feel like doing random acts of kindness to strangers on the street and handing out $100 notes to homeless men. That's the problem you see, I don't have any $100 notes to give out. The movie is making me feel like being more charitable than I can afford.

Other than watching movies, here's a list of little things I've done that have brought me happiness. Accompanied by pictures of course, pictures make everything better.

Folding paper cranes out of Butter Menthol wrappers: it makes being sick fun!

Overdosing on perfume: My perfume addiction is back. I made up my mind the other day that I should have a signature scent. Sure, its fun to have 6 bottles of perfume to choose from every day, depending on my mood. But I've figured out that it's better to just have one smell that people can recognise you by. So like, when you're randomly walking through a shopping centre and you catch a whiff of my scent, you immediately think THERESA!!!! Yeah. I'll do a whole blog post on perfume sometime this week, pinky promise.

Rediscovering my mum's pocketwatch collection: my favourite one is this round one with an egyptian bird handpainted on-

Finally receiving the shoes I ordered online! I remember mentioning these in a post dedicated to shoes, at the beginning of the month. Anyway, YES THEY'RE FINALLY HERE. I almost bursted with joy, seriously. I don't think you understand how excited I get when I slip on a pair of new shoes for the first time. I think it's almost better than falling in love.

Black lace up sandal-boots: Aren't they amazing. They're reminiscent of the Ann Demeulemeester boots. GHRQULGHQRG I LOVE THEM SO MUCH they're beautiful.

Lace up booties, reminiscent of the Burberry heels from a few seasons ago.

The heels are a lot shorter than I expected. I was hoping for heels a lot taller. But the shoe gods must be with me, because I received two extra pair of shoes from the same seller. Yes, for free. As in, it was an accident or something.

Flipping through old magazines and looking for inspiration for my design project (while sniffing all the perfume samples!)
