SHOES SHOES SHOES!
I'm feeling very concerned about everything at the moment, with the swine flu numbers duplicating everyday and the crazy economic crisis and all the Australian designers who missed out on fashion week this year or were forced to close down due to money problems. So lets do something pleasant like admire beautiful shoes. It's a safe activity, it's unlikely we'd contract some virus or lose all our money while admiring the shoes. I guess admiring shoes could lead to losing all our money, but I'm sure the economy would be blooming by the time I could actually afford a pair of admirable shoes.
I think I'm developing into a shoe fetishist or something. Here are some of my absolute favourites from the past few years:
Louboutin for 3.1 Phillip Lim Autumn/Winter 09
Ann Demeulemeester Spring/Summer 08/09
Bottega Veneta Autumn/Winter 09
Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 09
Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 08/09
Chloe Autumn/Winter 07
Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 08/09
John Galliano Spring/Summer 08/09
John Galliano Spring/Summer 07/08
Miu Miu Spring/Summer 06/07
Yves Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 08/09
My newfound favourite hobby: scouring ebay for shoes. The hard work has paid off, I have managed to find various (more wallet-friend) versions of the Ann Demeulemeester and Bottega Veneta boots, as well as the Burberry lace-ups. Oh, and the cage boots too, although the ones I found were more like ankle boots than boots, and they didn't have the cool caged heel, which was the novelty of the shoes. So I'm still debating over whether or not to get them. I'm still saving up for them, but should get them next week. I'll post pics when they come, so stay tuned!
P.S. I'm holding a picnic next monday, tell me if you want to come! There will be lovely cupcakes and swans and a riverside view!
P.P.S. Does anyone have a feathered duster they are willing to give to me? Ostrich feathers preferred, keep them coming 'cos I'm gonna need heaps.
