Ode to Procrastination
Before I launch into the masterpiece of a poem I wrote, here's what I wore today:
Hat: some cheap Market store, necklace: Portmans, drapey jersey top: some cheap Asian store, singlet (worn under): Supre, Skirt: self made, bangles: Diva, heels: Lipstik.
I bursted into giggles when I found the fabric for the skirt at Spotlight:
Anyway, here's my poem:
Procrastination, procrastination
Only leads to frustration
But possibilities are endless:
Creating plans to spend less,
Searching for ink-filled pens,
Nit-picking for trends-
On the Vena Cava runway,
And finding shoes on eBay.
Sorting through my Maths book,
And pretending I can cook,
So I can eat and grow fat.
Questing for the perfect sunhat.
Writing an ambitious study plan,
Whilst chit-chatting with Van,
Struggling to sew a poofy skirt,
And finding a matching shirt.
Downloading albums from Goldfrapp
Only to realise that I’m capped,
Then weeping and mourning,
And giving my sister a warning:
‘STOP WATCHING YOUTUBE
YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING GLOOB.
NEXT TIME WE BETTER NOT CAP
OR ELSE YOU’LL RECEIVE A SLAP’
Then thinking of last night’s dream-
My cousin and I, in a scheme,
To break into a castle,
Oh it was a huge hassle.
We ended up running and running,
Cos we weren’t really that cunning-
The owners had found us
They started to rage and cuss
Yes that was the dream,
Quite strange, it seems.
I couldn’t think of a way
To pass this bore of a day,
So I wrote this ode,
Cos I’m not in study-mode.
Oh procrastination, procrastination,
Only leads to frustration.
I can't believe I wrote that while I should've been studying.
One more thing before I go back to studying (or trying to avoid studying): ITS NEW YORK FASHION WEEK!! So I probably will be blogging heaps even though I shouldn't be. That's all for now. STAY TUNED!
P.S. Erin Fetherston is showing tomorrow, Marc Jacobs is on tuesday, Rodarte and Betsey Johnson are on wednesday and Marchesa is on thursday. They're the ones I'm really excited about, and the ones I'll probably rave on and on about. Just so you know what to expect and when :)
